The man Mr peter Obi Peter Gregory Obi was born 19 July 1961 in Onitsha Nigeria and is a Nigerian businessman and now Labor Partypresidential candidaze. He is his party's candidate for president of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election. Obi was a Governor in State of Anambra from March to November 2006, February to May 2007, and June 2007 to March 2014 . In May 2022, he became the Labor Party candidate for President of Nigeria in the presidential election , after being elected by the People's Democratic Party (PDP)had defected. Obi's presidential campaign is notable for the support of many young Nigerians. Obi ran for governor in 2003 as a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance , but his main opponent was unfairly declared the winner. After three years of legal wrangling, Obi was declared the winner in 2006 and took office in March 2006. In November of that year, impeachment proceedings were instituted against him, but this was overturned and he returned to office in February of the following year. In the 2007 Anambra state gubernatorial election, Obi was unseated and the judiciary intervened again, ruling that he was allowed to serve a full four-year term.
